Yeah. I just couldn’t think of anything that fit the bill at the moment, so I wrote what the prompt inspired.

Thanks for reading and commenting!

I don't think the object is to reject the rational but to focus on another part of your being for maybe a couple of hours on just this one day.

Cheers.

Jackie,

Thanks for reading and commenting!

I can understand that it’s a mountain of responsibilities to be a single mom. But you’re still entitled to dream and plan and write about what you’ll do some day.

I bought the guide book a while back, but the Trust 30 prompt pushed me to start making some real plans. When I read it, my first thought was, “Well, the obvious answer is Perú, but I don’t know when, or how I’m going to do it.” But as I thought my way through my own objections—too many more pressing obligations, no time to get away, etc.—it occurred to me that the way to make it happen is to make it a concrete goal. So I put on my official list of projects, and I started brainstorming the next few actions that I’ll need to accomplish. Today, I’ve made a bookmark folder to save web sites about Perú destinations, started a file for my own notes, and started an idea-map to organize the project.

Realistically, it’ll probably be a year or two before I can set aside the money and the time. (I’m self-employed, so I can take the time off whenever I want—as long as I don’t mind going without income.)

Anyway, I hope you won’t let the fact that you can’t see a way to do it right now keep you from imagining an answer to the prompt!
